Transnational Uyeno Solar Corporation and Sojitz Pla-Net Corporation Inaugurates Joint Solar Project
Transnational Uyeno Solar Corporation (TUSC) and Japanese firm Sojitz Pla-Net Corporation recently inaugurated a solar photovoltaic system for Toyo Ink Philippines at the Carmelrey Industrial Park, in Canlubang, Laguna, marking the first solar project in the Philippines under the TUSC-Sojitz alliance.

“This is a first for a Filipino-Japanese firm in the Country and marks the beginning of more projects and our serious commitment to growing the business,” says Jen Tablante, General Manager for TUSC. Takahiro Ochiai, President of Toyo Ink (Philippines) Co., Inc., expressed his satisfaction with the installation as it helps lessen their carbon footprint while saving on electricity costs, “I know that there are numerous Japanese companies interested in investing in Solar Power, and I tell them, it is a worthwhile investment.”

One feature that has proven valuable to Ochiai, is the daily alerts which includes a detailed update on the energy production of the solar panels. “We offer our clients unparalleled service and expertise. We only use high-quality materials from reputable, internationally certified component providers and because of our partnership with Uyeno, we are able to deliver thorough service before, during and post installation,” says Tablante.

Not a replacement for utilities

According to Nicolas Bivero, Director of Uyeno Transtech Ltd, “People still have misguided notions on how solar energy works. Solar energy cannot make you independent from grid power. What it can do is enable you to save up for the long-term.”

“People also tend to think that all solar panels are the same, and though the technology itself does not change, the type, system and requirements will affect the output and savings that you can get out of the solar cells,” explains Bivero. “Solar energy is a long-term investment and we make sure that our clients are able to get the most value from their investment.”

Past Projects

Over the years, TUSC has built an impressive roster of clients, including Starbucks in Quezon City and Bulacan; Jollibee Foods Corporation in Molino, Cavite; Republic Chemical Industries Inc. in Canlubang, Laguna; St. Paul University of the Phils. in Tugeugarao, Cagayan; Boracay E-Trike Charging Station and the NYK-TDG Maritime Academy in Canlubang, Laguna.
