Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc. Inauguration
When the reports of the integration of Yusen Air & Sea Service and NYK Logistics broke in 2010, it immediately became the newest item in freight forwarding market. All eyes and ears were on the merging companies, member companies and competitors alike. Yusen Air & Sea Service is one of the leading air & ocean forwarding and logistics providers while NYK Logistics is famous for its NVOCC and contract logistics business backed up by the NYK Line, a world leading steamship line.
On 18 July 2011, inauguration of Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc.
(YLPH) was held. The event was led by top executives from Transnational
Diversified Group (TDG) headed by the Group Founder & Chairman, Mr.
J. Roberto Delgado along with the Group Chief Operating Officer, Mr.
Dan C. Florentino and Group Chief Finance Officer, Ms. Socorro Z. Niro.

Co., Ltd. Japan, Mr. Shunichi Yano; NYK Line Senior Representative, Mr.
Toshinori Yamashita; NYK Group South Asia, Mr. Kunihiko Miyoshi; Yusen
Logistics-SAOR, Mr. Tatsuo Aoyagi were also present to grace the event.
Guests from various TDG member companies were also present to share the
momentous event with us.
According to Mr. Toshinori Yamashita, Chief, the merger will create more dynamic business networks that will enhance improved connection and communication with customers and clients alike. Mr. J. Roberto Delgado expressed his appreciation to the management of newly merged company and mentioned that TDG will remain committed to its strategic alliance with YLPH asthey strive to be one of the leading partners in the industry.
On the other hand, Mr. Shunichi Yano hopes for the continuous support and patrronage of the company's clients. The steady progress YLPH is currently achieving will be the first step toward taking on even freater challenges in the future. He added that the emerging success of the two businesses will rely on the dedication and contribution of every single employee. Thus, he encouraged everyone to seize the opportunity to look into the strengths of each company and come up with better and healthier company structure. With this in mind, the company will hopefully reach its ultimate goal and become one of the top five global logistics company in the world before 2018.
