Yusen Logistics Philippines Transports Car by Air

Yusen Logistics Philippines celebrates another milestone in operations with its first handling of 2 Nissan cars by airfreight last July 25, 2012.

The two Nissan Almera cars were shipped by Nissan Motors Philippines to Nissan Trading Japan for testing prior to its launch in the Philippine market by as early as the last quarter of 2012.  Nissan hopes to unveil Nissan Almera  in the upcoming Philippine International Motorshow in August this year.

Equipped with 1.5 liter, four cylinder engine with elegant colors black pearl and titanium gray, the two Almeras were loaded on KE 390 freighter flight out Manila. Yusen Logistics personnel carefully monitored the pick-up of the cars until the loading on the flight to ensure smooth operations and handling.

Present during the actual handling and loading were Jonathan Gonzales, GM Airfreight Unit; Abby Lacbo, AGM – Airfreight Operations, Anton De Leon, Supervisor Airfreight Operations and Chino Perez, Account Executive. The shipment were also made in coordination with Yusen Logistics Co. Ltd Japan Kanagawa Representative.

With Almera, Nissan can now compete with the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Accent and Toyota Vios.  They have high hopes that Almera can bring back Nissan Philippines to a top-three slot in the passenger car segment in the
next  five years.

Yusen Logistics is proud to be a partner of Nissan in their transport requirements and continue to wish them success in the launch of Almera to the Philippine market.
